Located in North Central Iowa,
Mason City is conveniently located halfway between Des Moines, Iowa and Minneapolis, Minnesota, just 8 miles east of Interstate 35.
The Avenue of the Saints (Highway 18/US 27) is
located just minutes South of City limits.
The community has two main corridors – Highway 65 which runs north/south and Highway 122 which runs east/west; and connects the communities of Mason City and Clear Lake.
From the West – Interstate 35:
Take Exit 194 and proceed east on Highway 122 for approximately 9 miles; turn north (left)
at the intersection of Highway 65, which is a one-way street.
The highway will merge right onto Delaware Avenue.
Continue 2 blocks and turn left at 2nd SW.
From the South – Interstate 27 (Avenue of the Saints)/Highway 65:
Take Exit 186 and proceed north on Highway 65 for approximately 3 miles; the highway will merge onto Delaware Avenue. Continue 2 blocks and turn left at 2nd SW.
From the East – Highway 122:
Enter Mason City on Highway 122 and continue through town for approximately 5 miles; turn north (right) at Highway 65, which is a one-way street. The highway will merge onto Delaware Avenue.
Continue 2 blocks and turn left at 2nd SW.
From the North – Highway 65:
Enter Mason City on Highway 65/Federal Avenue and continue through town.
The two-way traffic will split and merge right onto
Washington Avenue.
Continue south for 7 blocks and turn left at 2nd SW.
